A few weeks ago, my family embarked on one of the most fun roadtrips ever with our beloved friends Amee, Terry, and their daughter Emery! We started out as early as our little ones would allow us which was about 10am packed all of us into a HUGE van, and made our way out to Montecito! Amee and Terry had wanted to document Emery's 1st year of life which would be coming up soon, and this was a perfect day to remember it! She's growing so fast and is learning all new things and it was great to just watch her bloom!
Gideon, and Emery had a blast in the car together, feeding off each other's energy, and also feed one another their toys. LOL! It was so fun to watch them together.
As we approached San Ysidro Ranch, it welcomed us with a gorgeous driveway lined with trees and arches. It took me back to looking at photos of Provence, France. It was absolutely incredible. As you drive up the hill, this little gem is completely hidden until you turn the corner and then you're transported into another place across the world. The landscaping, and architecture was stunning. Everything was meticulously
placed and designed. I honestly couldn't believe my eyes. I've been to many amazing wedding venues, but this by far has been my favorite venue to photograph.
What was even better was that Amee, Terry, and Emery had the perfect ensemble to fit into the landscape. Their white and pop of yellow was so effortless. They looked like they were part of the property. I really loved, how their outfits accompanied the florals and didnt take away from the venue but rather added their own place to the gardens, and flower beds.
If you ever get a chance to visit this location, I would say you really have to try Stonehouse Restaurant while you're there as well. The service, food, and atmosphere was superb. It honestly was one of the best fine dining experiences I've had in a long time, so thank you Amee and Terry for the amazing time. It will always be remembered.
I hope you'll enjoy a little walk through their time at the Ranch as much as I did. Photos do not do this venue any justice! I hope to come back and stay at their hideaways one of these days!
After visiting the ranch we made a trip to Santa Barbara to have some ice cream at McConnells! One of Amee and Terry's favorite places for dessert! Emery got in on the ice cream action too. So much so that it got all over her face, and it was one of the most adorable things ever!!!!
It had started to rain, so we did one last photo of the iconic Santa Barbara buildings and streets then headed home! It was truly a fun day together with their family!!!!
