This week we're celebrating Dads! Over the years, I've been adopted over and over into families who's fathers have become like my own. I want to take this time to not only dedicate this series of posts to my Baba, but also to all the men in my life who have fathered me as well. This is also to my friends who's dad's aren't here physically with us any longer, but have taken a deeper place in our hearts.

When I think of what it means to be a "Dad", I see an image of four columns in a grand home. And those four columns, are holding up this massive structure through thunderous storms, wild winds, drenching rain, scorching heat and brilliant sun. Being as resilient as they are, there are times when the storm gets too strong, or the winds blow too hard, or the rain finds its way through the cracks, or even the sun is too harsh... but how that home has held up through the patching, and repatching, the building and rebuilding. Dads. That's who they are. Incredibly strong and resilient. They aren't perfect. But they are perfect for the homes they cover.

Dads have this ability to instill this sense to adventure, hope, love, and peace into our lives that is hard to find elsewhere. Only in His arms are we able to experience these things in full. Perhaps my idealization of a Dad is only known through my own personal experiences, but I'm confident that I can generalize, that the many fathers surrounding my life have upheld this constancy without a doubt.

Again I am amazed by the love of the Father for his children. I hope you are inspired whether you're a dad or not, to love a little more today than you ever have before.
