Friday introductions! Hi! If you’re new here to my blog just wanted to say hello and introduce myself! I’m Christina, and this is my husband Katzy. Though my full time job is a photographer, my other full time occupation is a mama to the little dude who just turned one in my previous three posts!

Katzy and I are full time parents, and have full time jobs. Meaning... we are Gideon’s primary care taker during the day and night and also are working in our fields every other day.

Something most may not know is that this was an intentional direction we wanted to go with our family. It took many years of soul searching to see what careers would be a good fit for us to achieve this goal of being stay at home parents... and me pursuing photography, and Katzy entering into full time ministry fit perfectly.

How we got here didn’t happen over night and was actually a 10 year process of working multiple jobs at a time, saving up, communicating, planning, and working our butts off.

I went fulltime into photography two years ago after leaving one of the best jobs ever. If I were to ever go back into a regular job I’d prob do it all over again. It was a huge consideration and required a lot of sacrifice but knowing that we wanted to be home with our kids took that initial step of faith. .
When I first met Katzy I knew his heart was to always serve God’s people. I loved that deeply about him. And we would question how can we do that and still raise a family. It wasn’t until 10 years later did he finally leave his day job to pursue the dreams in his heart.

And now a year later after delivering Gideon I’m still in awe that we are able to both be here for him. A lifelong dream... taking nearly 10 years to accomplish seems like forever. But in that time it honestly felt like we’d never get there.

We kept asking God and ourselves... when... when... when... and He kept reminding us... just be faithful where you’re at. .
Do you have a big dream that seems far away? I’d love to hear! Keep dreaming and don’t give up!
