An and Ruth had their wedding at the SmogShoppe in Los Angeles and it was one of the most beautiful days ever! I had first met An over 2 decades ago in our family's church. We soon parted ways to attend different churches later on in life. An met Ruth at his new church, and soon started a sweet relationship between the two! I got to finally meet Ruth a few years later and found that she is the perfect match for An. She not only loves his shiba inu, Tsuki, but she also complements him really well. She is the sweetness to his seriousness and the joy to his laughters. I've really loved getting to know Ruth more during our time planning their engagement session and wedding, so I'm super happy that An met such a wonderful gal to be his bride, and now wife!
During their wedding day I arrived with Jackie (my second photographer for the ceremony), and Katzy (he photographed the reception). Araceli and her team from Cafe Au Love did such an incredible job planning the day. It was so smooth and everything went as planned. For An and Ruth's first look we opted for the side of the SmogShoppe building where there were many smiles from both the bride and groom when they saw each other for the first time that day. I really enjoyed seeing their reactions, and recommend first looks for anyone looking to have a few moments with their future spouse!
The ceremony was so amazing. It was led by their pastor of Numa Church. He spoke so much about how he first met An, and was so amazed by how God moved through An to bring healing to his leg. And how Ruth is so incredibly talented in the arts and complements An who isnt as well versed in arts but now appreciates it so much more. I loved hearing how pastor knew both of them, and loved them both, and have helped to see them be where they are today. Pastors who really take the time to know the people they disciple and mentor means so much especially when they are asked to be officiants. I makes the wedding ceremony so much more meaningful and personal.
When it was time for cocktail hour and the reception we had tons of fun seeing all the incredible details in the reception area. Araceli, and Leafy Floral Design really transformed the area so well and it was absolutely beautiful!! We had a ton of laughs watching their games, capturing the rare dance moves from the bride and groom, and the hilarious ones from their guests. I'm thankful I got to be a part of their day along with Jackie and Katzy beside me!!! I hope you enjoy the images from their wedding in the slideshow above!
